News & announcements

Welcome Back :-)

We hope you had a good start at SBDS and are looking forward to see you again on Saturday.

To our new and returning members:

1. A big THANKS to ALL THE HELPERS last Saturday, we could not have done it without you.
We need 2 more RECESS VOLUNTEERS tomorrow. Please continue your support and check http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080f4bafa728a64-saturday frequently for volunteers needed.

2. SBDS depends financially on donations too, and every little bit helps. If you shop at AMAZON then please go to https://smile.amazon.com/ch/94-2640415 and learn more details and setup SBDS as your beneficiary. Amazon will then donate 0.5% of your purchase, and it's free! (Unfortunately Safeway stopped participating at eScrip on 8/1/15)

3. We have more soccer tickets available for the German/Swiss/Austrian Heritage Night at 7:30pm on October 3rd! Many SBDS families will attend and watch together the San Jose Earthquakes play against the Vancouver Whitecaps in the new Avaya stadium. Check the attached flyer, a Ticket is only $30. You can buy tickets with cash or check directly at the SBDS office.

4. We received more shipments of the school books, and will hand them out directly in class to the students that have paid them. We will NOT give out any books without payment. Unfortunately not ALL of the packages are here yet, so please be patient if your copy is still in transit from Germany.

5. If you have not paid your tuitions yet, then PLEASE DON'T FORGET YOUR CHECKBOOK and visit the SBDS Office in room 15.

German Heritage Night with the SJ Earthquakes

Mark your calendar! The second annual German Heritage Night at the new San Jose Earthquakes home, the Avaya Stadium takes place on October 3, 2015 at 7:30PM.  The Earthquakes will meet with the Vancouver Whitecaps.
