Parent-Teacher Conferencehttp://teacherweb.craven.k12.nc.us/images/BDC7B9B039344C2EACC39149F83B0C36.jpg

Our Parent-Teacher conferences are in the afternoon of THIS Saturday Nov 21st!

SBDS offers the Parent Teacher Conference as an opportunity for our parents and teachers to learn more about each other, exchange valuable feedback about the students, and share some ideas and experiences on how the students could learn at home, too. It is a private setting, the teachers (and parents) can decide if it makes sense to meet and with or w/o the student.

We will also setup a movie or playtime afternoon at the same time in the office or the auditorium. This is basically day care so that the parents can talk to the teachers, or for teacher kids or families waiting for the conference. Or use it as an opportunity to hang out together, too. The parents have to sign-in and leave their cell number for emergencies. We'll do a group order for pizzas or sandwiches around 12:15pm.

SBDS Christmas Celebration / Weihnachtsfeier

image002Please join us for our traditional Christmas celebration (Weihnachtsfeier) on Saturday, December 12th from 2:15 until 5 pm at the Campbell Community Center (Orchard City Banquet Hall) at 1 West Campbell Avenue, Campbell.

It is an afternoon with Christmas carols, presentations from our various classes, the REAL Nikolaus, an exciting raffle and we will serve German cookies, coffee and hot chocolate. All members and their families are invited!

We have only limited seats available, so you need to GET TICKETS. They are available at the SBDS Office NOW. It is first come, first serve until sold out. (Last year we sold out, there is NO entry at the door without a ticket!)

Volunteers: We are also looking for volunteers to help with cookies, decorations, at the door, in the kitchen, with the raffle, kids art table, as well as set-up and clean-up. Stay tuned for more details, we are still working on the online sign-up link.

For questions concerning volunteering, please contact volunteers@sbds.org
